Handcrafted Nerikomi marbled ceramic bowl - ø 16 cm
€35,00
What makes this bowl absolutely unique is that its pattern is not painted or applied — it is in the material itself. Two different colored clays, tobacco brown and natural cream, have been mixed and worked together using the Japanese Nerikomi technique, creating swirls, veins, and layers reminiscent of marble, agate, or the geology of an ancient rock.
Each bowl is therefore unique by definition — the pattern can never be reproduced identically.
The shape is wide and generous, almost flat, with a wavy and jagged edge that accentuates the raw and organic character of the piece. The exterior remains in natural unglazed stoneware, anchoring the piece in the material. The interior is covered with a thin glossy transparent glaze that reveals and enhances the veins of the mixed clay.
Placed flat on a coffee table, a console, or a shelf, this bowl is a work of art in itself. It can hold keys, jewelry, candles, or simply exist for the beauty of its surface.
